Windows does not allow elevated items to be controlled by an emulated mouse or keyboard. You need to grant permission and run as administrator in order to click on certain things in windows. You can’t see this from the steam link and if you miss this I don’t know how to get steam to ask for permission again. ![]() Also, this is super annoying but steam asks for permission to do certain things one of the first times it try to interact with something elevated. Hi, you can set steam compatibility to run as administrator and that may help. I've been trying to avoid Parsec because in my experience the stream quality is terrible compared to Steam Link but that'll probably end up being the solution here. The only problem is the AMD Link app is terrible with lagging out and crashing. I feel like if we could just bypass the LE launcher we would probably be fine.īut for anyone out there who hasn't bought the game and would like to use Steam Link - you should probably get the Steam version (obvious I know, I'm just a cheap bastard who wanted to spend $48 instead of $60).Įdit: I tried the AMD Link app and that works as far as streaming the video and recognizing controller input. I tried using OSOL set to both Origin and EA Desktop as well. My theory right now is that is preventing the Steam overlay from working, and thus blocking the controller inputs. I've noticed that even when I have Origin In-Game disabled (I've also tried with EA Desktop) the Origin (or EA Desktop) overlay notification still appears, so the overlay is not disabled. I can get into a game using the mouse mode but the individual games won't recognize controller input either. I can get to the launcher fine but it doesn't recognize the controller input. ![]() I've been trying to get the Origin version of the ME:LE to work over Steam Link on my Android tablet this morning.
